Abstract: The endothelium plays an important role in health and disease. Endothelial dysfunction contributes to sepsis pathophysiology. An important goal is to develop novel therapies that reverse endothelial dysfunction in sepsis. This review will consider the role of the endothelium in sepsis and will highlight its untapped therapeutic potential.
