Abstract: The methods of imaging in vivo can depict biological processes at the molecular level. Cell apoptotic imaging belongs to be one of these novel imaging methods. The detection and quantification of apoptosis in vivo are of significant clinical value for diagnosis and assessment of therapeutic efficacy. Here, we focus on discussing the development of apoptosis imaging agents and in vivo studies that have emerged so far, along with their possible applications in nuclear medicine.
