摘要

动脉粥样硬化（AS）是心血管系统的一种慢性炎症性疾病，是缺血性心脏病，中风和周围血管疾病的主要原因之一。 关于先天和适应性免疫在动脉粥样硬化发病机理中的作用的证据越来越多。 白细胞介素18是涉及动脉粥样硬化，动脉粥样硬化斑块不稳定性和斑块破裂的新型促炎细胞因子之一。 在这篇综述中，我们概述了有关IL-18在AS发病机理中的作用和作用机制的临床前和临床研究发现，这些研究结果可能会提供新的预后和治疗方法。
