The excellent innovative work of Squibb Laboratory scientists in the 1970’s
led to the discovery of the ACE inhibitors and the ARBs. Despite their widespread use,
for renoprotection, we have continued to experience a global ESRD pandemic.
Angiotensin blockade has proved inadequate. In 2010, we asked the rhetorical question:
