In this chapter, we outline the use of Discrete Fourier and Discrete Cosine Transforms for signal
Fourier spectral analysis. The emphasis is made on measuring signal spectra with sub-sample resolution and on
the resolving power of the discrete spectrum analysis as its main metrological characteristics.
