Alzheimer disease (AD) is a neurological disorder characterized by mild
cognitive impairment and affects an individual’s quality of life. In this chapter, we
explore two sets of advanced imaging analytic tools for quantitative detection of the
important indicators of AD such as presence of White Matters Hyperintensities and
diminished hippocampus. Case studies are used to further illustrate the scope of the use
of these tools.
